On this page you will find home learning Information, archived tasks set by the class teacher, useful links and technical assistance for the platforms that we are using to support your child with home learning. 
 

Our main platform is Google Classroom and in addition to this we are using Purple Mash resources to support learning.

Google Classroom

• Google Classroom is an exciting, new safe and secure learning platform with curriculum resources for your child to access during the school closure.
• It has been designed to support pupils having access to increased online learning materials and to enable communication directly with teachers. 
• Your child will be able to access work that has been assigned by their teacher and complete the work using documents that can be created, edited and stored online.  
• Your child’s class teacher will then be able to give feedback and support your child accordingly in their learning.
• Every child has a unique school login account (This is not an email account).
• If you need to request details for your child's account or you have any technical issues using Google Classroom, please email: admin@westgatecp.co.uk

Purple Mash

• Purple Mash is an award-winning, cross-curricular, online learning platform used within school and at home. 
• It contains a wide range of age-appropriate, creative digital software for writing, drawing, coding, animation, blogging and much more.
• The platform provides a safe environment for pupils to access resources and themed lesson activities.
• Homework tasks can be set by the class teacher for the children to complete at home.
• Feedback on work can be provided from the teacher to the child and all the work is stored online, within Purple Mash.
• The Parent Portal lets parents see what work has been assigned and when it is due in, as well as any teacher feedback.
• Every child has a unique school login account. If you need to request logging in details please email: admin@westgatecp.co.uk
• Purple Mash is all about creativity, communication and collaboration.
